OWN YOUR STORY

A Movement Built From Struggle, Resilience, and Hope

Own Your Story exists to help people feel seen, supported, and reminded that their story is not over.

OWN YOUR STORY

This Didn’t Start as a Business. It Started With Real Life.

A story of struggle, survival, recovery, and purpose — and why this mission exists today.

I Didn’t Come From Stability

I’ve been on my own since I was 15 years old.

I grew up in a situation where things weren’t safe, and at one point I had to make a decision that changed everything. I stood up for my mom during an abusive situation, and after that, I wasn’t welcome back.

From that point on, I had nothing.

No real support.

Just survival.

I remember having a garbage bag with a few clothes in it — not even full — trying to figure out where I was going to sleep and how I was going to get through the next day.

I Know What It Feels Like to Struggle Silently

  • As I got older, life didn’t get easier.
  • I battled addiction.
  • I struggled mentally.
  • I questioned my worth.
  • I felt like I was never good enough.
  • There were times where I felt lost, stuck, and unsure if things would ever change.
  • And like a lot of people…
  • I didn’t talk about it.

The Moment That Changed Everything

My brother Bob was the one who introduced me to entrepreneurship.

We both struggled with addiction, but we also shared a belief that we could build something better.

When I had about a year sober, my brother passed away from addiction — in my arms.

That moment changed me forever.

It forced me to look at my life differently.

It made me realize how real this battle is.

How many people are struggling.

And how quickly things can be taken away.

I Had to Rebuild My Life From Nothing

After that, I committed to change.

I got sober.

I started building.

I put everything I had into creating a better life.

I started my first business with nothing — working from a corner table at McDonald’s using free WiFi.

Over time, that turned into what is now Mobilize 360 — helping businesses grow through digital marketing, websites, and technology.

But even as things started working…

I never forgot where I came from.

Success Didn’t Solve the Deeper Problem

I started to realize something:

There are millions of people out there who feel exactly how I felt.

  • Not good enough
  • Struggling silently
  • Fighting battles nobody sees
  • Trying to hold it together

And most of them don’t have something simple, immediate, and real to help them in those moments.

That’s Where Own Your Story Was Born

I wanted to create something that could meet people in real life — not just online, not just in a program, but in everyday moments.

Something simple.

Something accessible.

Something real.

That’s where the idea came from:

A way to deliver encouragement, support, and connection instantly — while also creating a platform where people could share their stories and realize they are not alone.

This is Bigger Than Me

Own Your Story is not just about my story.

It’s about:

  • The athlete struggling under pressure
  • The student dealing with anxiety
  • The person in recovery fighting every day
  • The individual who feels alone

This mission exists to remind people:

  • Your past does not define you
  • Your struggle is not the end
  • Your story still matters

If You’re Struggling… You’re Not Alone

If you’ve ever felt lost, overwhelmed, not good enough, or like you’re fighting something nobody understands…

I get it.

And that’s exactly why this exists.

Because sometimes all it takes is:

  • one reminder
  • one message
  • one moment

to help someone keep going.
